As part of a preventive initiative, the College of Media hosted a medical campaign aimed at vaccinating faculty, staff, and students against seasonal influenza. The campaign, supervised by Dr. Zainab Abdul Kareem, Head of the Communicable Diseases Division, and Dr. Omar Abdul Aziz Salman, Head of the Respiratory Diseases Unit in the Public Health Department, was carried out by a specialized medical team from the Baghdad Road Health Center under the Kirkuk Health Directorate.
The campaign witnessed a strong turnout from college members, reflecting their awareness of the importance of vaccination in promoting public health within the academic community.
The Dean of the College of Media, Dr. Maad Asi Ali, emphasized the college's commitment to health awareness by announcing a forthcoming seminar in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit. The seminar, scheduled for the coming weeks, will focus on preventive measures against seasonal influenza and its health complications. It will feature a panel of specialized doctors to further enhance health awareness among students and staff.
