Professor Dr. Muad Asi Ali, Dean of the College of Media, received a delegation from the Kirkuk branch of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, headed by the Chair of the Preparatory Committee, Mr. Marwan Ibrahim Al-Ani. The meeting aimed to discuss avenues for mutual cooperation between the two parties.
The Dean expressed his full support for the journalistic community and their syndicate, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the relationship between society and state institutions. He conveyed his confidence in Iraqi journalists’ ability to develop and promote visions that serve the country, highlighting their role in enriching the culture of media and journalism in Kirkuk. This can be achieved by leveraging the resources of both sides to convey facts professionally and free from external influences.
The two parties discussed ways to strengthen ties, unify perspectives, and enhance joint cooperation to support educational endeavors and serve the diverse community of Kirkuk. This includes raising awareness and guiding society across all its ethnic and religious groups without discrimination.
In turn, Mr. Marwan Ibrahim Al-Ani, Chair of the Preparatory Committee for the Kirkuk Branch, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He reaffirmed his full support for the faculty and students of the College of Media.
