The College of Media at the University of Kirkuk organized a scientific seminar in celebration of International Arabic Language Day, with the participation of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Maad Asi Ali, department heads, faculty members, and students.
The seminar, organized by the Women's Empowerment Unit in collaboration with the Continuing Education Department, covered several key topics. Professor Dr. Emad Majid Al-Jarad, a faculty member from the College of Education for Human Sciences, discussed the significance of the Arabic language in contemporary challenges, reviewing its status among global languages and the major challenges it faces. Meanwhile, Assistant Professor Dr. Fadil Ibrahim Muhammad, a faculty member from the College of Arts, elaborated on the role of the Arabic language in shaping cultural identity and enhancing cultural belonging.
The seminar was moderated by Dr. Dhilal Mahdi Saleh, head of the Women's Empowerment Unit at the college, who concluded by praising the efforts of the university administration and the College of Media's leadership in supporting and preserving the Arabic language.
